Operations Administrator

The Operations Administrator manages the Powder Magazine's in-museum giftshop/online retail of the museum. The position also assists the Director with administrative duties as may be required for the healthy operation of the museum. The position, when able, assists the museum staff in their execution of tour duties.

Part Time 18-20 hours per week

Parking provided

Compensation: $16 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS

Education: Minimum- High School diploma, undergraduate degree in history or related field, preferred. Position requires excellent verbal communication, active listening skills, and social perceptiveness. Excellent computer skills are essential.

Experience: 1-3 years’ work experience, or a combination of degree and work experience.

Museum Interpreter

The Museum Interpreter serves as the main point of contact in the museum and gift shop and assists with the operations and presentation of the museum for visitors. The position is responsible for conducting engaging tours, providing information about the museum to guests about its contents and programs and answering questions. The position supports the museum’s staff as needed.
